AI tool reportedly matches an interior photo to a specific property

TECHNOLOGY & SOFTWARENEEDS REVIEWUpdated:

A report says Raven, an AI tool previously called GeoSpy, can take a single photo from inside a building and return likely matching properties, including short-term rentals, homes and hotels. In demonstration videos reviewed by the report, the tool’s results included listing text and images associated with properties on rental and real-estate sites.

Matching without an identical image or location metadata

The strange part is that the photos need not be identical to listing images or carry location metadata. The reported capability appears to infer a location from visual details inside a room, then connect it with other images of the same property.

The report says some law-enforcement agencies have bought access, but also notes that the marketing demonstrations may not reflect typical speed or accuracy. A Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office representative previously said use had been limited and exploratory, with no significant investigative breakthroughs or arrests driven solely or primarily by the tool.
