A plausible commemorative gift becomes the lure

The oddity is that the lure was reportedly something employees could reasonably hope to receive after a championship, rather than an obviously suspicious prize. The report says MSG later called using rings as the lure “an unfortunate mistake” and said it planned to give rings or jewelry to players, coaches, employees, and other Knicks affiliates.
