Withdrawals suspended after unauthorized transfers were detected

Bitget said suspected North Korean hackers took approximately $351.6 million from a limited number of its hot and warm wallets. The company said its security systems detected multiple unauthorized transfers and that it temporarily suspended withdrawals. It said its cold wallets and most platform assets remained secure, its self-custodial Bitget Wallet was not affected, and its User Protection Fund would cover losses. Bitget said the intrusion method remains under investigation.

The available report does not provide a comparable pre-incident measure for the affected wallets or platform operations.

Bitget says it suspended withdrawals while it investigates the reported theft and plans to restore them after investigators determine that normal operations can safely resume.

The reported incident combines a large claimed asset loss with an operational withdrawal pause. Bitget says the incident affected several blockchain networks and assets, while customer balances, deposits, and trading remained operational.
