Sources
Public reference sources and our collection, summary and attribution policy.
Collection and republication
We use sources only after checking their terms, available fields and permitted storage. We do not save or republish full news text or original images.
We organize facts within the source’s stated scope, using our own structure and wording. Each report links to the information used to review it.
These are documented reference sources, not a complete list of current collectors or proof that every source has produced a published report. Sources actually used are shown in each report.

Official source →GBIF
Species, observation dates, locations that can be generalized, recording institutions and data-quality information. An occurrence record alone does not establish a change in the species’ overall distribution.
Official source →Crossref
Public bibliographic metadata such as titles, authors, publication dates and DOIs. Metadata alone does not establish a paper’s findings or conclusions.
Official source →Government agencies
